CD REVIEW PART 2
This is the remainder of my CD review article, that is why it is called CD review part 2, genius eh?
Ever since house made it's first appearance in Holland ID&T has been setting trends for everybody in the scene to follow. ID&T was the first company ever to produce Dj merchandise and CD concepts to go with the parties (Thunderdome, Earthquake and Happyhardcore).
For these CD projects ID&T needed labels and music to be managed and produced by it's DJ's and exclusive artists. Labels like Waxweazle Vinyl, Bzrk Records and Pengo Records were launged into orbit only to dominate the entire scene for several months and still these labels are more popular than ever.
On this compilation CD they have made a special selection of the very best tracks wich were released on these labes all through 1995.
I must say that they have done a good job, nice tracks, nice selection.

I am personally not a person that buys compilation albums with sequels
like this one but to be honest I do not regret it. Though it is
allready the third one and there will probably come a fourth one too,
but I really like this one. The tracks are made by some well known
artists (Dutch top 50 orso) like DJ Paul Elstak, Club X, 2 brothers
on the 4th floor and Critical Mass, but there are also some good
unknown artists on this compilation. Great...

Since the beginning of the year 1995 a new artist has grown to the top of the Dutch charts. His name is DJ Paul Elstak. He owns a record company, Rotterdam Records, he has also his own merchandise company, Forze Merchandise and he owns a Record shop, Midtown.
Together with K & A, MC Irvin and the singer Shaydie he made several popular tracks.
Every track he released reached it to the top 5 in the Mega top 50. And now he has finally released his very own album, or to say it in the right way, he has released 2 albums.
The first one is the normal album with al the tracks he has released this year and some remixes and the second one is the hardcore edition, in some his tracks he uses samples taken from movies like Star Wars and A few good men.
Both of the albums are a pleasure to hear, but I think it was better if he made a double CD of it, but that ids my personal opinion...

Yet another compilation album, but this time it is a hardcore
copilation. The album was compiled by DJ Ruffneck (Patrick van
Kerckhoven). Patrick van Kerckhoven created Ruffneck in 1993 and has
since made Ruffneck one of the biggest hardcore labels in Europe.
Ruffneck owes it's reputation to maintaining a constant quality in the
music and an image that's unique in the hardcore world.
That is what the booklet says, and I must say that this is the one of the best hardcore CD's I have ever heard, especially the DJ Ruffneck Speedmix is a slammer, containing parts of tracks on this album...
