S t o r y . . .

In Rayman world's, nature and people live together in peace.

...  One fateful day, the Great Protoon is stolen by Mr. Dark, an evil being!
The  Electoons  who  used to gravitate around  it  lose  their natural
stability  and  scatter all over  the  world!  In  this  now-unbalanced world,
strange phenomena begin to occur: freaks and hostile characters  appear,
capturing  every Electoon  they  can  find.  They definitely need a hero to
save them now.

Rayman must recapture the Great Protoon from its mysterious kidnapper, free
the  Electoons and teassemble them all to  restore  the  world's harmony.


T h e   g a m e . . .

The  game starts with an intro.  The intro is an animation of  Rayman, who's
building  up.  First his feet are there,  then  his  hands  and finally  his
head (or was it the other way around) to finish this cute little fellow.
After  that  the  story of the  game appears, together with some excellent
pictures.  Rayman works with three savegames.  You must choose one before you
can play  the game,  it is also possible to erase a savegame to  create  a new
one.


P l a y i n g   t h e   g a m e . . .

Playing the game is easy.

Use the C button to swing your hand and hit your opponents, the B
button  to  jump and  the A  button to use a special item,  for eg.  seeds to
grow plants.  The further you proceed in  the game you will get  some  special
 weapons,  like,  grabbing hands and the helicopter mode.  You can also make
funny faces with the option key...

In each world, Rayman has to free some cages with Electoons, to finish
a world he must free all Electoons. By using the powers you get in the
later levels you can free Electoons in previous levels,  because  with
some powers you just can not reach them.

There  are six worlds to discover and they all got  some  bonus-levels and
some end-bosses,  each world consists of four levels or  more,  so this is not
a game you will finish within a fey days...


C o n c l u s i o n . . .

Rayman is one of the best platform games at the moment. It's playable, fast,
has  excellent graphics and it is not a platform game where  you  just have
to reach the end of each level  because you must return  to  some levels for
several times. If you like platform games then this is the best to buy at the
moment.


G r a p h i c s . . .

The  graphics  of Rayman are the best I have ever seen in  a  platform game.
They are colourfull,  designed and the animation is great.  But not only the
characters are are of good quality,  also the backgrounds and the foregrounds
are of good quality.


S o u n d . . .

The sound is good, although I do not think it could not be better, but the
music and the sound effects are ok.


C o d e . . .

The  game  has  no slowdowns or some other nasty  bugs.  The  code  is
allright.


P l a y a b i l i t y . . .

The  controls and the way of playing the is good,  I had  no  problems with
that.

At the intro type: 1364 for breakout.

Some  people said that you will get unlimeted credits when you  finish
breakout. But it is extremely tough...
