From rczuba@free.fr Wed Jul 12 01:11:01 2000 Date: Wed, 12 Jul 2000 13:31:41 +0200 From: rodolphe czuba To: Subject: CT60 informations ok, I have to announce you this : Actually, it seems (if I was not tired) that I have only 2 wires to be soldered to fit the CT60 on a Falcon ! This is too much and I want to have ZERO wires ! YES ! The CT60 may be a NO-SOLDERS hardware for the Falcon !!!! A big revolutionary hardware design ! Think that everybody could fit a CT60 on an Original Falcon (sorry for those who have a CT2, but they wil have to go back to the original falcon before fitting the CT60...). I try to avoid the famous wire on the corner pin of the 030 (like on AB40) : this wire allows to turn off the 030. I need it to arbitrate between the 030 and the 060 because it will be possible to start with 030 and turn on the 060 and let him continue to run, and turn off (sleep) the 030. Like this, you can decide to not launch the 060 and stay in 030 mode for old software. And, sure, if you change the code in the flash (patched TOS : happy things ! : I wanted Bombs logos to be replaced by nuclear bumps eh eh...). and crashed the CT60 execution, you can reset and boot again on the 030 and re-flash with a new code.... No physical switch, but a bit in a software register..... The CT60 may be very amazing ! Maybe it will even be possible to use both the 030 and 060 ! The 030 at 3.84 Mips could be used for dummy things on the mainboard.... Demos coders may be happy...eh eh Let me know if you have good suggestions.... Please, send short messagen because I need time now to design ! Rodolphe CZUBA 28, rue des Sorbiers F-60290 LAIGNEVILLE FRANCE email : rczuba@free.fr
